Meet our Managing Director, Bruno, a leader with over 30 years of invaluable experience in the financial services industry. He is celebrated for his intuitive leadership and genuinely friendly, open approach with everyone on the team. Drawing on a distinguished career that includes managing director roles at Matco Limited and CITCO (Mauritius) Limited, Bruno was also the esteemed chairman of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM).

When he's not guiding strategic solutions, Bruno's passion for the sea often calls him out fishing, or you might find him enthusiastically cheering on his beloved Arsenal FC. Professionally, he holds prestigious memberships with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is also a proud fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (FMIoD). His approach is a blend of deep industry knowledge and a people-first mindset.

Kiran brings over 7 years of deep industry expertise to his role as Director of Fund Administration & Client Accounting at Mauri Experta. Known for his keen attention to detail, sharp analytical skills, and extensive knowledge, he ensures meticulous precision in every aspect of fund accounting and administration. Before joining our team, Kiran honed his expertise for over 3 years as an accounts manager for a leading offshore management company, gaining invaluable experience in fund administration.

Kiran’s professional acumen is built on a Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Curtin University of Technology in Australia and he is a proud member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Beyond the world of finance, Kiran is an avid music lover and a passionate football player. You'll also find him engrossed in books, living by his motto: "read anything but read everything"—a testament to his boundless curiosity and dedication to continuous learning, qualities that enrich both his professional and personal life.

Tanya brings with her over 20 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry, serving as our Director of Internal Audit. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and strong principles, she is an indispensable guardian of our robust internal controls and processes. Originally from South Africa, Tanya joined Mauri Experta in January 2012, after a successful tenure as operations manager at Matco Limited and as an administrator for VFS International Ltd. Her diverse background has given her a broad perspective on the operational and administrative facets of the financial sector.

Tanya is also deeply empathic, a quality that allows her to foster understanding and collaboration across the entire firm. Her professional credentials include a Bachelor's degree in business administration specializing in financial management (BBA Hons) and she is a proud member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD). Outside of work, Tanya is a very keen non-fiction reader and cherishes time spent with her kids and family. She also loves travelling, exploring new cultures and history, a passion that reflects her broad perspective and enhances her understanding of our global clientele.

Christian Avrillon is a seasoned finance professional with international experience spanning Mauritius, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Specialising in corporate structuring, fiduciary services, and strategic management, he combines deep technical expertise with board-level insight to advise clients across diverse industries.

Since 2012, Christian has been Director of Finance & Strategic Development at Mauri Experta Ltd. He leads the firm’s financial strategy, risk management, and long-term planning, while also driving business development and acting as director on numerous client structures. He chairs the IT Committee, where he has spearheaded the company’s digital transformation and adoption of new technologies.

Prior to Mauri Experta, Christian was Group Finance Director at the VAM Group (2004–2011), where he oversaw group-wide financial operations, implemented restructuring strategies, and held directorships across its subsidiaries. Before that, he was Finance Manager at CIMS Specialist Marketing in Johannesburg (2001–2003), where he developed innovative loyalty programmes for major banks. Between 1995 and 1999, he gained international exposure in the United Kingdom as Financial Accountant with Costain Group Plc, Reader’s Digest, and Dorling Kindersley Plc.

His career began in 1988 as an audit clerk with De Chazal Du Mee in Mauritius before moving to South Africa in 1990, where he completed his audit articles with Moores Rowland (formerly Boulle, Saad & Levin) while studying part time at UNISA. In 2000, he took a sabbatical year to travel the world, returning with broadened perspectives that continue to shape his professional outlook.

Christian is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA – UK), holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (BCompt – UNISA), is a Member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA), and a Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (F.MIoD).

Beyond his professional career, Christian is a former Mauritian javelin champion who represented his country at the Indian Ocean Island Games, African Games, and French Athletics Championships. Today, he stays active with gym workouts, enjoys padel and golf, and never misses a Springboks rugby match—ideally shared over a braai with good friends.

Kowen is our Operations Director and a truly strategic, forward-thinking board member. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, Kowen is a natural problem-solver, celebrated for his collaborative mindset and unique ability to cut through complexity. He thrives on tackling challenges head-on, always helping the team find clear, practical paths forward. Kowen joined Mauri Experta in 2012 after more than five years as Operations Director at Matco Limited.

His professional dedication is built on a strong academic foundation, holding a BA (Hons) in Law and Management and a Master's in Global Financial Services from the University of Mauritius. His commitment to professional excellence and good governance is further demonstrated by his memberships in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD). Outside of work, Kowen is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and a keen car collector.
